Media members will have a chance to interview the four finalists for president of West Virginia University at Parkersburg during the candidates visits to the regional campus.
The media is welcome to attend the open forum portion of the finalists visits, which will be from 2:15-2:45 p.m. Three of the open forums will be in the schools auditorium, and one will be in three adjoining classrooms.
The candidates, their affiliations, campus visits and open forum locations follow:
- Thomas J. Rookey, director of the Dublin campus of Georgia University System, Tuesday, Feb. 22, Rooms 2534-36-38
- Stephen G. Greiner, vice president for academic affairs, University of Evansville (Ind.), Wednesday, Feb. 23, auditorium
- Erik J. Bitterbaum, vice president for academic affairs and professor of biology, Missouri Southern State College, Monday, Feb. 28, auditorium
- Daniel W. Ball, vice president for academic affairs, Southern Arkansas University, Wednesday, March 1, auditorium
In addition to the open forums, the finalists will meet with faculty, staff and students during their visits to campus. They will meet with administrators at WVUs Morgantown campus the day after their Parkersburg visits.
WVU Parkersburg President Eldon Miller, the institutions fourth president, announced last September that he would retire in June. His successor, who will also serve as a regional vice president reporting to WVU President David C. Hardesty Jr., is expected to be named in July.
