water line break on University Avenue has forced WVU officials to close the University Services Center today (Jan. 25).

Most WVU employees who work in the building were instructed to go home for the rest of the day and return to work Wednesday, said Scott Kelley, vice president of administration and finance. Department of Public Safety employees will remain in the building as they are essential personnel.

The water line break occurred early this morning, and Morgantown Utility Board employees are working to repair the line.

Affected WVU employees are encouraged to listen to local radio stations to learn if the University has changed its plans for their return to work Wednesday, Kelley said.

The University Services Center houses several WVU units, including the Department of Public Safety, Facilities and Services, Environmental Health and Safety, Department of Human Resources and the Parking Office.
